ABOUT US:

Backyard Stagecraft is a design studio serving small-venue weddings in Harrisonburg, Rockingham County, and Shenandoah Valley, Virginia.

We work with couples and families to locate, obtain, and provide the material culture necessary for dream weddings. We maintain a curated collection of tableware, textiles, vessels, silk florals, and architectural pieces. We expand the collection intentionally, through sustained conversations with couples, families, wedding planners, and estate vendors. Our particular strength in vintage and mid-century glass brings depth, texture, and visual continuity to intimate gatherings.

We support livestream integration and projection, allowing those who cannot travel to be visibly present and participate meaningfully, even across distance.

BACKYARD STAGECRAFT COMPLETE WEDDING PACKAGE:

Each year, we collaborate with up to two couples to design, stage, and direct their wedding as a fully-authored gathering at a small-venue ideally of their choosing. This offering is intentionally limited, ensuring that each gathering receives the attention, authorship, and stewardship it deserves. The cost of the Backyard Stagecraft Complete Wedding Package is fully supported through a combination of foundational and community contributions, which afford us and our community partners the privilege of working with couples who might otherwise not have access to this level of care. In some cases, this reflects financial constraint; in others, the realities of distance, where family and close friends are unable to travel across borders to be present. For couples who would like to explore this offering, we will post our availability here and on social media, whenever we are positioned to consult with couples about the Backyard Stagecraft Complete Wedding Package.
